If you want a holiday weekend of socializing, skiing or snow tubing (completely optional), soaking in hot tubs, gourmet dinners, games, enjoying the snow, and even a Chinese New Year's party, all with UU YA/GenXers, check out http://users.erols.com/pdahl/winterescape The trip is 3 weekends from now, Feb 16-19. There will be 60 people total, split into 8-12 in each (nice vacation) house. You can also take a peek at this year at the URL http://users.erols.com/pdahl/winterescape/07.html To register, go to http://users.erols.com/pdahl/winterescape/07reg.html Cost is $85-$130, sliding scale, but there are ways to make it cheaper. Email me if you have any questions or issues, or if you're interested in how to make it cheaper. Hosted by Critical Mass, which is a network of UU YA groups in the DC area. (although it's now mostly defunct, with the Winter Escape being its only activity. what can we say, the trip is a blast!) FYI, I'll be kind to the people not interested and make this the last email about this year's trip. Think snow! Funny how the last Sunday of the month *really* sneaks up on me in February. I can't believe February has nearly come and gone! The weather forecast is uncertain for this Sunday, but if it turns out to be safe driving weather, I'd love see everyone's friendly faces for lunch. If it's icy, stay home and be safe - we'll rather see you next month and avoid terrible accidents. But hopefully, the weather will be just fine, if a bit rainy or cloudy, and we can gather somewhere cozy for lunch. How about La Madeleine in Reston this time? Warm food, breakfast or lunch and lots of warm coffee and tea? We'll meet : Sunday, February 25th, 2007 at 12:30 p.m. at La Madeleine Restaurant Reston, Va Look forward to seeing everyone safely on Sunday! I'll have my cell phone (703-307-5719) as usual if someone is trying to find us and doesn't see where we gathered tables together. See you then!
