Join with other Unitarian Universalists in Washington, DC, to Rally and
Reflect on January 18th for Preventing War in Iraq!

On Saturday, January 18th, the ANSWER Coalition is planning another large
rally (like Oct
26) on the Mall. And again, the Washington Office, All Soul's Church and
other local religious leaders are partnering to bring people together. In
particular, we hope UUs will come back to All Soul's after the Rally and
March for food, reflection and dialogue about war, the legacy of Martin
Luther King, Jr., and what's next.

PLEASE CIRCULATE THIS NOTICE WIDELY! Thanks!

Schedule for January 18th

9:30 Sign making at All Souls. The church will also be open throughout the
day as a place to rest or leave your belongings.

10:30-12:30 PM Meet to Rally and March together. Meeting Place: Across from
the main entrance of the National Gallery of Art, on the North side of the
Mall near Madison Avenue, between 4th and 7th Sts. Closest Metros are
Archives/Navy Memorial and Judiciary Square. In the event that we can't camp
out there as a group, we'll have people with UU signs to direct you to us.
The rally begins at 11:00 (stage near 3rd street). We expect the march to
the Washington Navy Yard to begin in 12:30-1:30 range.

5:30 PM Warm up with a hearty meal and hot beverages in the company of other
UUs at All Souls Church, opened with prayer and reflections by the Rev. Meg
Riley and other UU religious leaders. PLEASE RSVP to the address below if
you plan to attend this event! We need to know how much food to prepare. A
small donation will be requested.

7 PM Join the Rev. Graylan Hagler (Plymouth Congregational Church, United
Church of Christ); Rev. Barbara Wells (Paint Branch UU), Rev. Rob Hardies
(All Soul's Church), and others in a time of reflection and dialogue on war
and the legacy of Martin Luther King, Jr.

SUNDAY All are encouraged to attend the Martin Luther King, Jr. services at
All Souls Sunday at 10:50, or at one of the other area UU congregations.
